About The Instructors
Triyoga was created by American-born Kali Ray during an intense spiritual experience. Tri comes from the concept of a trinity. In Indian thought, everything that makes up creation is shaped and permeated by this triad. In contrast to other yoga styles, where static exercises (asanas) predominate, Triyoga is characterized by flows, i.e. a flowing from one exercise into another.
Irene Rempfler grew up in the middle of the Appenzell Alpstein, influenced by the depth of nature in which she still finds her strength today. In 1978, at the age of 27, she was touched by yoga, at a time when almost no one in eastern Switzerland knew about it. Trained and supported by renowned teachers such as Johannes Knöpfel, and Eleonore and Heinz Dolibois, Irene is a certified yoga teacher of Yoga Switzerland (Margaretha Stühl-Nones) as well as in Triyoga with certification from basic to advanced levels. To this day, her fascination with yoga remains unbroken and she passionately teaches up to one hundred people weekly in her Triyoga studio in Appenzell. Her credo is to experience together with her students the lightness, power, and health of body, soul and spirit in yoga practice and beyond.
